Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Welcome to SmoothPressure. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and SmoothPressure about your use of the SmoothPressure app and website. Please read them. By creating an account or using SmoothPressure, you agree to these Terms.
1. About these terms
These Terms govern your use of the SmoothPressure mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). If you do not agree with them, please don't use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of your agreement with us.
2. SmoothPressure is not a medical service
This is important, so we say it plainly: SmoothPressure is a personal logbook, not a medical service. It helps you record blood pressure readings and keep track of them for your own personal reference.
- SmoothPressure does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not tell you what your readings mean for your health.
- The app, its trends, its status labels, and its reports are for personal reference and convenience only. They are not a medical assessment and are not a substitute for professional care.
- Smart Scan simply reads numbers from a photo for your convenience; it does not evaluate your health.
- Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your blood pressure and any health decisions. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services — do not rely on this app.
You are responsible for the readings you choose to enter and for how you use the information you keep in SmoothPressure.
3. Your account
To use most features you create an account through our authentication provider, using your email address or a Google sign-in. You agree to provide accurate sign-in information and to keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Let us know at smoothpressure-support@mails.bysali.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your country to use SmoothPressure. The Service is intended for adults keeping track of readings for themselves or people in their care.
4. Acceptable use
Please use SmoothPressure as intended. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to log or share information about another person without an appropriate basis to do so.
- Attempt to access accounts, profiles, or data that are not yours.
- Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to break the security of the Service.
- Copy, resell, or attempt to reverse-engineer the Service except where the law expressly permits it.
- Upload content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.
5. Your content
The readings, notes, profiles, and other entries you create are yours. You keep all rights to them. You grant SmoothPressure the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content back to you and to the people you invite — solely to operate the Service for you (for example, saving a reading, generating a report you asked for, or reading a number from a photo you scanned). We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for ensuring you have an appropriate basis to enter information about anyone other than yourself — for instance, a family member whose readings you log in a profile.
6. Care circle and sharing
SmoothPressure lets you invite others to a profile's care circle. When you invite someone, you allow them to see and, depending on the role you grant, contribute to that profile's readings. You are responsible for who you invite and for the access level you grant, and you can change or withdraw access. Only invite people you intend to share that profile's information with.
7. Smart Scan
Smart Scan is a convenience feature that reads numbers from a photo of a monitor so you don't have to type them. It may not always read values correctly. Always check the numbers before saving them. Smart Scan does not assess your health.
8. Reports and exports
SmoothPressure can generate a PDF report of readings for you to keep or share — for example, with a healthcare professional. Reports are generated on demand and are for personal reference. Once a report is generated and given to you, you are responsible for how you store or share it.
9. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep SmoothPressure available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service. Because SmoothPressure keeps your readings in the cloud rather than only on your device, an internet connection is needed to use it.
10. Third-party services
SmoothPressure relies on third-party providers — for authentication, cloud database hosting, application hosting, and AI photo processing — to operate. Your use of the Service also depends on those providers, each of which operates under its own terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.
11. Intellectual property
SmoothPressure, including its name, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't give you any rights in SmoothPressure's branding or software except the limited right to use the Service as intended. Your own content remains yours, as described above.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading, trend, status label, or report is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. SmoothPressure is not a medical service and nothing in the Service is medical advice.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmoothPressure will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages, or for any health decisions made in reliance on the Service. SmoothPressure is a personal logbook for your convenience; it is not a substitute for professional medical care, and you agree not to rely on it as one.
14. Termination
You can stop using SmoothPressure and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated through the app or website. If you continue using SmoothPressure after an update, the updated Terms apply. If you don't agree to a change, please stop using the Service.
16. Governing law
[Governing law: TBD — to be set by legal counsel.] These Terms will be governed by and interpreted under the law and jurisdiction specified here once finalized.
